As Charlie and Grace McFarland celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary, Grace is suddenly struck down by a fatal stroke leaving Charlie without his beloved soul mate and in a state of grief. Boots Charlies youngest and estranged son decides to put the current state of their father son relationship aside for the sake of his Dads happiness and takes Charlie on a fishing trip to the tip of Australia, Cape York. As old differences are revisited and family secrets exposed, Charlie and Boots being to build a strong, loving bond between the two that was never there before.
